01 / THE STANDARD

Make every game a better guest experience

Official program requirements, from court equipment to the welcome your guests receive.

Program requirements

  • Provide a quality pickleball playing environment.
  • Durable, approved nets.
  • Permanent lines on regulation-size courts.
  • USA Pickleball-approved paddles, balls and equipment.
  • Demo paddles and balls available for use.
  • Maintain the culture of pickleball as a safe, inclusive, fun, and friendly environment.
  • Hire/employ trained staff and instructor(s).
  • Hydration station, restrooms, and shaded viewing area.
  • Uniformed staff with name badge, a professional greeting, and welcome protocol.

GO A LITTLE FURTHER

Optional, but encouraged

  • Online or onsite Pro Shop with pickleball equipment, merchandise, and gear.
  • Quality courts, Quiet paddles, recyclable balls, and a ball machine.
  • “Open play” “paddle-stacking” system for organized play.
  • Organized events – Round Robins, demo days, clinics.
  • Complimentary introductory lessons.
  • Participate in “Take a Trip, Leave a Paddle” Promotion to collect donated paddles.

  • The rights for a dedicated post in all our pickleball-related social media groups.
  • The rights to a free consultation with our resort services team.
  • A one-stop resource for purchasing discounted equipment and services.

03 / GET STARTED

Activation & investment

Review the activation steps, certification investment and revenue guarantee below.

Activation process

  1. Prominently post the hyperlinked certificate of excellence logo on your websites.
  2. Host our consulting team for a site inspection with a complimentary SWOT analysis.
  3. Provide exclusive perks and benefits for our guests that we send to your property.
  4. Provide a 10% commission and 5% rate discount via an affiliate marketing hyperlink.

Certification investment

  • Provide a “Stay and Play” vacation package for our mutual promotional use.
  • Provide $20,000 in trade credit, or $10,000.

Revenue guarantee & renewal

  • Certified resorts are guaranteed a minimum of $100,000 in new pickleball-related revenue within 12 months after certification.
  • If this minimum is not reached, the certification renewal fee is waived for the following year.
  • Renewed automatically unless canceled with a 60-day notice.
  • Subject to annual site inspection hosted by the certified resort.
